Are the photographs on your website of work you have completed?
Yes, all staff, work and stores photos are our own and are of the people who work for FHPlumbing.
What areas are your services available in?
Our service areas cover, Paarl, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek & surrounds, as well as all areas in between these towns.
What are your charges?
Our charges are as follows:
- We have a flat rate call out fee of R324.00 including VAT.
- Thereafter we charge an hourly rate of R648.00 per hour including VAT, charged in 15 minute increments.
Some work can be carried for a fixed price or an estimate.
Monday to Friday 07h00 to 17h00
Charges are R648.00 per hour including VAT, charged in 15 minute increments.
Monday to Thursday 17h00 to 07h00 & Friday 17h00 to Saturday 17h00
Charges are R972.00 per hour including VAT, charged in 15 minute increments.
Saturday 17h00 to Monday 07h00 & Public Holidays
Charges are R1296.00 per hour including VAT, charged in 15 minute increments.
We employ a satellite tracking system that is accurate to the second. We are able to monitor the movements of our plumbers on each and every job to ensure that the job is being charged at the correct times and being carried out efficiently without any time being wasted.
What are your operating times and when can we call you?
We are contactable at any time and we work all hours if necessary.
What is your response time?
For emergencies we try to be at the job within 30 minutes. This estimate can change depending on various circumstances.
How accurate are your appointment times?
We attend the majority of jobs at the agreed time. However, there are times when our plumbers are still completing the previous job. We will always endeavour to let our customers know if we are running late.
What are my payment options?
Payment is expected on completion of job and you are entirely satisfied. Payment is preferred by bank transfer, however credit card, cheque or cash is accepted.
Can I pay via Credit Card?
Yes, you can pay by credit card.
Do you offer payment terms?
Yes, we will create a 30 day account for hotels, guest houses, restaurants e.t.c that require regular plumbing work through the month.
What are your payment terms for domestic customers?
In most cases immediate payment is required on completion of the job.
What type of company are you and are you registered with any institutions?
We are a Closed Corporation (CC number 2005/ 040025/ 23) and we belong to the Institute of Plumbing South Africa (IOPSA membership number: 1844). Some of our plumbers are registered with Plumbing Institute Registration Board (PIRB). We are VAT registered (VAT number: 4130219134).
Do you hold public liability insurance?
Yes we do, our public liability is with Santam and it is to the value of R1000 000 with additional Santam Umbrella liability to the value of R20 000 000.
Do you offer a guarantee?
Yes, our guarantee for workmanship is 6 months and materials & parts have their own warranty with the supplier or manufacturer and their warrantee time varies from item to item.
Can I send photographs for help with quotation?
Yes, this is extremely helpful and keeps the cost of the job down. You can email your photos to us.
Can we have the same plumber on the job?
Yes, if you prefer a particular plumber and he is available, we will gladly allocate him.
I have the required materials for the job needed. Can you charge me labour only?
Yes we can, we normally supply and fit ‘unseen’ plumbing like hot water cylinders and pipework, if you have the materials such as sanitary-ware, we will gladly fit them.
